BankMeridian raised more than $31.5 million in capital, the largest de novo bank capitalization in South Carolina history. On May 18, 2006, BankMeridian opened two locations, one at 1320 Main St. inside the Meridian Building in Columbia, SC and a temporary office at 32 Palmetto Bay Road on Hilton Head Island.
