Interest On Lawyer’ Trust Account (IOLTA)
An Interest on Lawyers’ Trust Account is an interest-bearing account for funds held in trust or escrow on behalf of a third party. The interest earned on these accounts is sent to the South Carolina Bar Foundation. The interest provides grants for charitable and educational law related public service projects and programs to improve the administration of justice in South Carolina.
