BankMeridian Opens Full-Service Office in Spartanburg

Columbia, SC, October 25, 2007 - BankMeridian, headquartered in Columbia, SC, has opened a full-service office at 122 South Liberty Street in Spartanburg, SC. The bank has operated a loan production office in Spartanburg since October, 2006. BankMeridian currently has two other locations in the state, with an office in Columbia, and another on Hilton Head Island.

BankMeridian opened in May, 2006, with the largest de novo capitalization in the history of South Carolina banking. The bank’s primary focus is providing superior service for small to mid-size businesses and professionals.

Brian Murdoch, a native of Spartanburg, is Regional President for the BankMeridian office in Spartanburg. Brian has 12 years banking experience in the Spartanburg market. “This market has proven to be a natural fit for BankMeridian’s high touch relationship business model, and I look forward to serving the citizens’ financial needs through our new full-service office,” states Brian.

According to Ashley Houser, BankMeridian President and CEO, “This new Spartanburg office was a natural expansion of our loan production office.
